The Slop Treatment Unit (STU) is a specially designedsystem that treats production or domestic wastewater through three-phaseseparation using a disc centrifuge. The oil content of the treated water iscontinuously monitored by an online oil-in-water analyzer to ensure it meetsthe discharge standards set by the MARPOL convention. On-spec water isdischarged overboard, while off-spec water is returned for further treatment.At the same time, the separated oil is recovered. This unit is widely used inoffshore engineering applications such as FPSO, FLNG, drilling platforms, andproduction platforms.
