Electrostatic Technology Helps Theatres Reopen as COVID-19 Alleviates

May. 14, 2020 Industry News by: Jereh

Yantai/May 14, 2020, the State Council issued a series of guiding policies with regard to the reopening of entertaining and recreation venues, which includes theatres, cinemas, art galleries and etc.

And on May 11, Ministry of Culture highlights that concrete measures are still necessary for COVID-19 containing, such as strict and regular disinfection.

It is no doubt an exciting news for theaters and cinemas which have been shut down for more than 4 months since COVID-19 hit the country hard since the beginning of 2020.

On May 12, to get fully prepared for the reopening, Yantai Grand Theater in Shandong Province invited Jereh C-create Technology to conduct a thorough disinfection on site, covering auditorium, the grand hall, backstage, office and etc. With the aid of Jereh’s electrostatic disinfection sprayer, a 360° disinfection is easily realized with no dead zones being left.

Yantai Grand Theater occupies an area of 2.82 acre, with 1,221 seats in total. Disinfecting faces lots of challenges due to its enclosed environment, segmented spaces, uncovered fabric seats and complicated electrical circuit around the stage.

With special customization design, Jereh’s electrostatic disinfection sprayers are available in 4 models to satisfy disinfection in different situations. For example, electrostatic disinfection vehicle is designed for spacious areas like the grand hall and stage, aiming at quick disinfection. Backpack electrostatic sprayer and electrostatic disinfection case tend to be more flexible and handy and can be applied to the seating area, whereas mobile electrostatic disinfection station are suitable for independent rooms like dressing rooms, control rooms, etc.

By using electrostatic disinfection sprayers, it took only one hour to accomplish the same amount of work which could cost a day in the past by six men.

Apart from efficiency, enclosed areas demand higher-standard disinfection as the air doesn’t flow very well. Jereh deploys advanced electrostatic technology that turns solution droplets into electrostatically-charged ones through high-voltage electric field near the nozzle.

In this way, each droplet will carry electrostatic force, 75 times stronger than gravity force. Their excellent absorption ability allows them to capture virus in the air and achieve effective disinfection.

Regular disinfection sprayers usually wet seating area as the seats are made of fine fabric. Electrostatic disinfection sprayer adopts dual-atomization to break solution droplets into even smaller ones (40μm) so that the droplets would do no harm to fabric and electrical appliances. Therefore, no time will be needed for dry-out after disinfection, making it safer and more convenient.

“I’m thrilled to see that the theatre is about to reopen. It’s been a long time and I’ve been looking forward to this for quite a while.” Said Mr. Wang, a resident who lives in the neighborhood. “Glad to know they’ve done careful disinfection. Strict measures can truly relieve our worries.” He added.
